About WorldAccent, London

WorldAccent was set up in 1989, originally under the name Accent on type. Our mission was to offer a new kind of translation service, capable of translating both the text and the visual content of your documents with equal care, attention to detail and cultural appropriateness.

We championed the use of electronic communications technology in translation management; we were also pioneers of multilingual computer typesetting, first on the Apple Macintosh and then also the Windows platform.

Accent on type quickly gained a loyal client base among designers and other providers of creative services, as well as end-users in the corporate, public and voluntary sectors. As a result of steady growth, in 1993 we moved to larger premises in Clerkenwell, just north of the City of London.

Fourteen years on, we remain market leaders in end-to-end translation and multilingual artwork generation services. Building on our technological expertise, we have also embraced multimedia and web services with the same degree of professionalism and competence.

In summer 2001 WorldAccent – our new trading name – was launched, along with an updated visual identity. We have also reorganised our operations to become even better at meeting our customers’ needs. We continue doing what we have always done best: bridging the worlds of translation, typography, print and digital media, while offering new levels of efficiency and speed at a very competitive price.

With WorldAccent your project is in safe hands. Together, we make sense.
