Simplified or Traditional Chinese?
There are many different varieties of spoken Chinese, such as Mandarin, Wu and Cantonese, but they are all written in either Simplified or Traditional script.
Which Chinese script is appropriate for your target audience depends on where they are. Simplified is used mainly in the People's Republic of China, while Traditional is used mainly in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.
Another consideration is that Hong Kong Cantonese uses a substantial number of characters that are either additional to, or different in form from, those used in the traditional script in Taiwan for writing Mandarin.
Rest assured that we have the required software and know-how to typeset Chinese correctly and appropriately for your target audience.

Some points of interest on written Chinese:
- Chinese was traditionally written vertically, top to bottom, with columns going from right to left.
- These days Simplified Chinese is almost always written horizontally, left to right, like Roman script. Traditional Chinese may be written horizontally or vertically.
- Typeset Chinese usually takes up less space than the equivalent English.
